First let’s take a look at the TVAA Baseball league where Upper Dauphin leads the Eastern Division with a league best 5-1 record. The Eastern Division looks to be pretty competitive as Line Mountain 1 game back, Millersburg 1 1/2 games back, and Halifax 2 games back are well within striking distance. The Western Division is even tighter as 5 teams are all within a 1/2 game of each other. Greenwood and Susquenita sits a top of the division with a 3-3 record. Juniata and East Juniata sport 2-4 records and are both solid threats to claim the division. Greenwood’s Aaron Bollinger leads the lead with a .524 batting average, 11 hits, and 15 RBI’s. Fellow Wildcat Aaron Morder leads in runs scored with 11. Halifax ace Nathan Blasick leads the league with 1.35 ERA along with 32 strikeouts.
TVAA Softball has proven to be quite competitive as well. Millersburg 6-1 (East) and Susquenita 5-1 (West) both lead their divisions but several teams are remain in the hunt. Halifax (4-2) and Line Mountain (3-2) are off to good starts as well and can push the Indians for the East title. Newport (3-2) looks to be the lone threat to Susquenita in the West as the remaining three teams in then division have a combined 2-14 record. Lacy Strait of Millersrburg leads the league with a .714 batting average, 15 hits, and 13 RBI’s. Teammate Hannah Dyer leads in runs scored with 15.
