Greenwood and Juniata claim TVAA League Meet titles
Greenwood (Girls) and Juniata (Boys) claimed TVAA Track and Field League meet titles on Wednesday afternoon at Susquenita High School. The Lady Wildcats dominated the meet as they amassed 213.5 points more than 100 points ahead of second place Juniata (109.5) and were led by Mallory Kauffman (Field MVP) and Paityn Wirth (Track MVP). Kauffman won the Shot Put (47' 5") and Discus (160' 6") while Wirth won three golds winning the 100m Hurdles (16.49 ), 300m Hurdles ( ), and 47.33, and anchored the 4x400m Relay for the Wildcats.
Garrett Baublitz (Track MVP) won the 800m (1:56.84), 1600m (4:20.59), 3200m (10:43.44), and anchored the 4x800m Relay for the Indians. Baublitz also established new meet records in the 800m and 1600m events. The Indians tallied 197 teams points finishing well ahead of second place Millersburg (110). UDA's Dane Zimmerman was named the Field MVP winning both the Shot Put and Discus events for the Trojans.
